| VGAok VGA signal generator/tester The VGAok is a small handheld VGA video signal generator, that outputs’ simple color bar test pattern for the purpose of checking projectors, cables, monitors, and other related devices. It is intended for when you need to check that you have all of the RGBHV lines to a VGA input. The VGAok is battery operated at lightweight, perfect for portable use. This signal generator can be helpful for general troubleshooting and projector and display set up for A/V applications, however it is not intended to replace test patterns for projector calibration from a professional unit like a Barco/Folsom ImagePRO. The VGAok currently supports three output sizes covering basic common uses:
The VGAok also comes programmed with two lines of text to identify the owner of the unit. Typically these are your name and your phone number, although just about any text could be programmed, such as company name and web address. The VGAok is powered by a 9 volt battery inside the case, and is operated by a single push button. The unit is powered up by holding the button for 3 seconds. After the unit is powered up, pressing the button again will switch to the next resolution. The unit will power off automatically 30 seconds* after power up, or after the last resolution change. Approximate Size: Estimated price $80.00* plus shipping. Circuit design and software almost complete, and I am working on the case design. Hope to have demo boards in and populated in a few weeks to approve final design. (*Pending final design evaluations)
